Things to expect:

Citrus food drop.
Grapeleaf skeletonizers.
Desert insect migration.
Aphids on Ash trees.
Desiccation of tips and edges of leaves, and rose pedals - caused by hot, dry air, worsened by thrips.
Bird damage to ripening fruit - cover trees with netting before fruit ripens.

Things to do:

Fertilize summer lawns. Don’t let weeds get to seed - mow often. Watering needs increase with the onset of another hot, dry desert summer :) Protect bark of trees and limbs from sunburn. Dethatch Bermuda lawns. Plant summer lawns. Agave Snout Weevil control should start at end of month thru June.
